This session brought together the voices of the private sector, public policy, and corporate investment to address ecosystem gaps and strategies in one of the hottest emerging investable GLI themes. Participants identified tools, measurement indicators, and ways to integrate investable opportunities into their strategies and portfolios. Integrated both developed and emerging market examples.

Anuradha Shetty is an investment professional focused on impact investing. Most recently she was a Principal at the Soros Economic Development Fund, the impact investing arm of the Open Society Foundations. At SEDF she led a portfolio of work focused on women’s economic empowerment and investing in the care economy.
Since joining Shinsei Bank in 2005, Ms. Huang has consistently engaged in principal investment and built private equity investment career. Ms. Huang has also performed as a member of multiple funds’ investment committee, board director and/or corporate supervisor for portfolio companies and funds’ general partner.
Ms. Huang set up the impact team in 2017, currently managing two impact investment funds, “Childcare Support Fund” and “HATARAKU (WORK) Fund” as investment committee member. The “Childcare Support Fund” was the first impact investment fund for Japanese bank group.
Amy Haddad is a gender equality and social inclusion expert in foreign policy and development.
She was a principal gender equality specialist for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and has represented Australia in various forums at the United Nations, including while posted to the Permanent Mission of Australia to the UN in New York.
Danielle Burt is an independent consultant that works with clients to develop and implement effective gender strategies in the private sector. Previously, Danielle served as the Gender Lead at the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA), building a Gender Benchmark that assesses and compares large companies on how they drive gender equality and women’s empowerment across their full value chains. Danielle spent the first ~15 years of her career in the private sector – including strategy consulting at McKinsey & Company and strategy and marketing at Nike - before shifting her focus to driving social justice in this context.
