Executive Director and Head of the Women’s Wealth Program, UBS Global Wealth Management

Emma Wheeler is an Executive Director and Head of the Women’s wealth program at UBS Global Wealth Management. This well-established and thought-leading program has focused since January 2017 on supporting the financial confidence, participation and wellbeing of female clients, mainstreaming the financial challenges that women face and driving wider financial services industry change to address these. The program also encompasses the topic of Gender Finance and the bank’s involvement with the Gender Smart Investing Summit, the global gathering of thought leaders to drive forward this investment megatrend.

Emma is a member of the Council for Investing in Female Entrepreneurs, the industry advisory council as part of the UK government-backed initiative, the Rose Review, designed to unlock female entrepreneurship in the UK. In 2021 Emma led a peer group to create the Invest in Women Hub, an online portal for early stage female founders to support business growth. Emma has recently launched at UBS a project to support early stage female founders globally with investor readiness and network building.

Emma is an experienced communications, marketing and business development strategist and before joining UBS in early 2018 was head of content for an international private wealth law firm. She is a graduate of London University, with a degree in English and Classics, a mother of two children and has a passion for skiing, horse-riding, the Arts and culture.
